The Drills of Coach Emendorfer cover all aspects of a successful passing game: Running and Blocking in Open Field, Recognizing and Taking Advantage of Defensive Alignments and a Scrambling Drill, which also serves as a defensive Drill.

These Drills focus mainly on the team aspect, that is they are not really drills for a single player at a time, but rather teach and practice the collaboration in all phases of the passing game. Starting with the recognition of the defensive alignment and spontaneous taking advantage of an eventual poor alignment, over going through the scrambling adjustment rules, to blocking and running in the open field.
These drills are a huge addition to footballdrills.com. Coach Roth contacted Coach Emendorfer in his campaign to get the college coaches involved into his project to provide free American Football coaching material to all coaches in the world. Michael H.E. Roth actually spent 2 weeks in 1990 in a practice camp at UW Platteville when playing for the Cologne Crocodiles (German Amateur Team).
Most American Football coaches on the youth level and most coaches outside the USA do not have a solid coaching education nor can they afford to attend the various coaching clinics - mostly because of time and financial restrictions. But most of these coaches (mostly volunteers) take their assignment very serious and thirst for information how to become a better coach, and how to teach their players the game.

Emendorfer earned the WIAC Coach of the Year Award for 2004, a season in which the Pioneers achieved their first winning record since 1992.
In his eight years, Emendorfer has guided the Pioneers to the most explosive offensive era in the 108-year history of the UWP football program. In his third year as head coach Mike Emendorfer produced the nation's leading pass offense along with a very competitive team.
He and his wife, Lisa, have two children, son Logan, and daughter Rachel.
