ISO Travel Solutions at the ITB 2012

The ISO Travel Solutions will substantiate its status as “World’s Leading Travel Technology Provider” during this year’s ITB by presenting two innovative technologies entirely new in tourism IT: ISO’s Dynamic Recommendation System (DRS) with Travel API – the first of its kind – supports the sales process dynamically by recommending additional services the way online shops do. The other highlight at ITB is Emerald – the world’s first CRM for tourism available as an application for Microsoft’s Azure cloud. The pavilion of ISO Travel Solutions will be in hall 6.1, stand 116, during the ITB in Berlin from 7-11 March 2012.

The amount of tourist products available on the market is growing, and so is customer demand. The challenge for the travel industry is finding the best offer with as little effort as possible. In this context, only efficient IT designed specifically for this market can ensure sustained revenue growth. Traditionally, ISO Travel Solutions presents its abilities in this field during the ITB in Berlin, the world’s largest tourism trade fair.

ISO Dynamic Recommendation System with Travel API – the customers recommend products
The ISO Dynamic Recommendation System (DRS) with Travel API supports the travel industry in achieving this. The system is a recommender service that can be fully integrated in travel distribution solutions. With this system, the customer service representative at the service center can actively propose similar, complementary or higher-quality products to the customer.
Using the Travel API, ISO’s DRS can also be connected directly to the company’s Internet Booking Engine (IBE), opening up new avenues for additional, system-driven advertising – companies can then offer their customers additional services (cross-selling) or higher-value alternatives (up-selling).
The benefits of the ISO Dynamic Recommendation System include more customer satisfaction, higher acceptance of the recommendations, longer time on the website and, ultimately, an increase in sales and income.

Emerald – the first tourism CRM also available as a Microsoft Azure Cloud application
The CRM system Emerald is the first tourism CRM also available as an application for Microsoft’s Azure cloud, making ISO the exclusive partner of Microsoft for tourism CRM solutions worldwide. ISO is also exploring new strategies in cloud computing. IT configurations, infrastructure and software are dynamically adapted to the needs of customers and provided through a network. In this way the customer is freed from the administrative overhead, and the system will automatically match the various levels of customer demand. In addition, the Microsoft Azure cloud offers to customers data storage in the applicable jurisdiction. The system is easily adapted to the given business conditions, and the operating fees correspond with the volume of applications.
Emerald, the CRM system for tourism, has been on the market for many years and offers modules designed specifically for travel distribution. Developed on the basis of the ISO Dynamic Travel Components, the system is modular in design and highly customizable.
