London, United Kingdom, October 4, 2011 - Intern Latin America, a British and Latin American joint venture, has been honored $40, 000 to take part in a esteemed international business plan - Start-Up Chile - which is financed by the Chilean government. Intern Latin America is going to receive $40, 000 of equity-free seed capital, and was selected by the Chilean government from more than 650 applications. In the wake of this accomplishment, London is currently strongly in the company’s sights. Intern London is now functional as well as set to bring top international talent to London from 2012.Intern Latin America, which offers internship, volunteer, medical elective as well as Spanish language programmes in Latin America, was formed by Londoner David Lloyd, who left his sales role at Merrill Lynch to begin the business in January this year.
In May David established Intern London with university friend Lee Carlin. Both men left decent jobs to make the business; a difficult determination which David believes would be made easier for more, if there was similar backing in the UK to Chile.
Co-founder Lee Carlin said:
“This business was borne out of our personal experiences of internships supporting us to cure the hard work opportunities market as well as land top graduate roles post university. International working experience helps students to jump out. We aim to help a worldwide exchange of talent that works with the raising globalization of business. The Start-Up Chile award has invigorated this business and also given us a platform to actually develop. ”
Internships in another country are the “fastest rising area of travel” according to travel specialists STA. Intern Latin America plans to merge its offer in Argentina, Chile as well as Colombia, where it places top students in leading companies, hospitals, governments & NGOS, and carry out it's worldwide marketing strategy throughout the program. It programs to support its first worldwide development, Intern London, in its early stages.
