Press release from: TAIMI

This Sunday, May 17 the world will mark the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. TAIMI -- World's First LGBTQI+ Social Network and Dating App is seeking the public's help to raise awareness about the issues LGBTQI+ people face every day.

The International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia was created in 2004 to bring attention to the violence and discrimination faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex people as well as all others with diverse sexual and gender identities and expressions.

TAIMI is doing its part in making sure homophobia is eliminated throughout the world. In fact, the company is keen on working with Human Rights Organizations to fight for equality for everyone around the globe.

TAIMI is also hoping to conduct several surveys among its 5+ Million users on the state of LGBTQI+ rights in their countries.

The International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia is marked on May 17th for a reason.

It was on this day in 1990 that the World Health Organization declassified homosexuality as a mental disorder.

TAIMI's users will have the opportunity to tell their stories in the app and on @taimiapp social media accounts.

To TAIMI this day represents a major global landmark. It is the day to bring attention of world leaders, media, public, opinion makers and local authorities to the issues and situations faced by millions of people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, and sex characteristics.

This Sunday, May 17 more than 130 countries will mark the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia.

TAIMI always reminds its users that more than 70 countries keep being LBGT+ illegal. Therefore, it is more crucial than ever to talk about the violence and brutality LGBTQI+ people face in the states where same-sex acts are punishable by law.

The International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia is officially recognized by the European Parliament as well as many United Nations agencies. However, it is not one centralized campaign rather a day to remind everyone to take action in whatever capacity possible.
This year, the day takes on a whole new meaning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many LGBTQI+ people are facing difficulties at home, some are feeling the burden of being alone, others are afraid that with the cancellation of Pride events around the world -- it will be extremely difficult to express their true identity.

TAIMI is here for everyone, regardless of where you identify on the sexuality and gender spectrum.

The world's first LGBTQI+ social network and dating app provides all its users with a safe and secure space to join custom groups, create posts, and share their stories.

TAIMI also has a video call feature that will keep you stay connected with the friends you make on the app.

We are here for you, we support you, we love you!
