Press release from: towPartners

The Towing and Recovery Association of America, in conjunction with its ongoing effort to improve the image of towers and the towing industry to the general public, would like to acknowledge the efforts of Worldwide Equipment Sales and the Wisconsin Towing Association.

Washington, DC, USA, December 10, 2011 -- The Towing and Recovery Association of America, in conjunction with its ongoing effort to improve the image of towers and the towing industry to the general public, would like to acknowledge the efforts of Worldwide Equipment Sales and the Wisconsin Towing Association. Pat Winer of Worldwide Equipment Sales LLC and his elf helpers did a great job of organizing the 4th annual Tow Trucks for Tots Parade in Rockdale, IL.

The goals of the parade are: • To bring a much needed toy to a very deserving boy or girl. • To further enhance the image of towing equipment operators everywhere. • To make a new entry in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest tow truck parade. Wisconsin towers from Roskopf’s Service & Towing participated by building two huge toy boxes, painting one red and one green, stapling candy canes and snowflakes on them and writing “Tow Trucks for Tots” on each box. They put the two boxes on a flatbed and Wisconsin towers raised over $2,200 to buy toys for Toys for Tots.

“We had 324 trucks in this year’s parade for another world record,” stated Pat Winer of Worldwide Equipment Sales. ”Final tallies are not completed on the toy count but it appears we will have over 10,000 toys from this year’s drive.” The full story can be found at: http://www.towtimes.com/?p=7521 The Towing and Recovery Association of America endeavors to pass along positive news about the towing industry and places press releases in conjunction with these efforts. This release is a part of that effort. News submissions can be sent to jgodwin@towpartners.com.
