Wall Street for Sale - The Bidding Starts at € 550

25 April 2007 (aabykk) - art.auctions by Ketterer Kunst makes it possible! The action starts on May 5, 2007, when the 1993 Martin Kippenberger monogrammed colour offset work “WALL ST” is to be sold at auction online. Some 330 objects by world-famous artists are to be called on that date, starting online at 4 pm, Central European Daylight Saving Time. The prices of the works to be sold at the auction of Old Masters and Art of the 19th Century, Modern Art & Post War are almost all below € 1000.

The auctions that have been held live online by art auctions by Ketterer Kunst since September 2006 have drawn dealers and collectors not only from the German-speaking countries but also from abroad. Clients in the latter category particularly appreciate the convenience of participating online. Moreover, the “Affordable prices for big names” concept has been a resounding success with a young clientele, who are so often enthusiastic about art but without the wherewithal for buying it at auction.

Attractive prices should be a magnet for bidders this time, too. Besides some works dating from the 15th to the 19th centuries by Friedrich August von Kaulbach, Karl Friedrich Schinkel and Anthonie Waterloo et al., the live online auction will showcase a dazzling array of works from the Modern and Contemporary sector, featuring such distinguished names as Joseph Beuys, Alexander Calder, Marc Chagall, Salvador Dalí, Max Ernst, Rupprecht Geiger, Erich Heckel, Jörg Immendorff, Roy Lichtenstein, Joan Miró, Robert Rauschenberg, Gerhard Richter and Victor Vasarely.
