cargo-partner selects Onepoint Project as its Integrated Project Management Solution

cargo-partner was looking for an integrated project and portfolio management solution that would store all projects in a central repository and could also provide profound functionality in the resource management to support the project managers with an easy to use planning tool. As cargo-partner’s new and consolidated project handbook was based on a best-of-breed approach mainly from IPMA and PMI standards, it was important that a feasible PM solution would not be exclusively bound to a single PM standard. As Atlassian’s JIRA was already in use in some areas by the software development team, connectivity to JIRA was also a selection criteria. In addition, web-based access was critical, since cargo-partner owns already more than 100 locations around the world from Vienna to Hong Kong and other major cities mainly located in Central and Eastern Europe as well as Asia.

Onepoint Project Enterprise Server – with its 100% web-based, multilingual user interface and its central, integrated project and resource database – matched cargo-partner’s requirements very well. cargo-partner’s IT department was able to install the server-based solution within less than a day; also the initial configuration was fast and could be finalized during a single-day kick-off workshop.

The cargo-partner project management standard could be implemented quite straightforward using Onepoint’s configurable project pipeline, activity categories, project templates, and the built-in standard reports that are mainly based on the IPMA standard (but do not contradict PMI recommendations).
