The Employee Engagement Calculator

The Employee Engagement Calculator

On average, disengaged employees cost the US economy (and the businesses they represent) upwards of $500 billion each year in lost productivity. But most companies find it extremely difficult to quantify what portion of that staggering number is impacting their own bottom-line. The Employee Engagement Calculator (https://www.eeCalc.com) is a free, online tool designed to help organizations see what they may be losing to dysfunction, quiescence, and disengagement within their workforce.

This simple to use calculator immediately and dynamically updates the user's results as they enter a few simple inputs such as the number of employees, the number of managers, and average salary (it even defaults to national averages for salaries, turnover percentage, etc.) The custom results can be emailed to the user (and perhaps their CFO, CHRO or CEO) and can also be downloaded in PDF or Excel format.

"Reading about economic loses in the $500 Billion range from respected authorities like Gallup is certainly eye-popping," said Shea Heaver, CEO of OptimaWork LLC who provides the calculator. "But when a company can associate disengagement to their own balance sheet and see the hugely negative impact it is having, it really starts to sink in," he continued.

OptimaWork (www.optimawork.com) wants business leaders to realize where they may be hemorrhaging money and hurting their balance sheet. Once they see how much they may be needlessly losing to poor working relationships, employee conflict, mistrust, and weak workplace culture, they will have reason, incentive and motivation to make things better.
