Cornwall Staycation Home

Cornwall Staycation Home

The Cornwall staycation market continues to thrive as Brexit, improved transport links, and the increasing popularity of owning holiday homes pushes it to the forefront of UK holiday destinations. Overall, the UK also continues its appeals to the foreign travel market, and Cornwall looks set to tap into the steady stream of international visitors with modern holiday homes offering the setting for a perfect vacation.

A high street bank published results proving Cornwall’s popularity and said that 31% of station fans would visit the region next year. Travel Lodge also rates the peninsula as the UK’s most popular staycation destination.

The growing number represents an increasing part of the population who plan to spend more time holidaying at home than in previous years. Other reports suggest that staycations are here to stay and prove popular with residents who don’t want to travel abroad and want dog-friendly destinations that accept pets.

Julian Walker from Spot Blue Property that sells homes in the UK points towards a trend for British buyers to look closer to home. The uncertainty of travelling and owning foreign property as Non-EU nationals and a weaker pound are two reasons.

Since Cornwall has always been an established sector of England’s holiday industry, it enjoys this trend pushed by higher summer temperatures.
Cornwall’s ever-expanding airport also allows easy access to the region. Helping it to grow its foreign market, in particular, Germans travellers often arrive from Frankfurt, Berlin, Dusseldorf, and Stuttgart.

2019, saw its fifth consecutive year of growth, with just over 460,000 passengers passing through. The increase shows in launched routes to Heathrow, Jersey, Copenhagen and Guernsey. There are also plans to add Newcastle, Glasgow, Norwich, and Aberdeen alongside its existing Manchester and Gatwick services.

Sitting in England’s southwestern region, Cornwall features miles of coastline with sandy beaches, fishing villages, traditional harbours, acres of natural beauty and many coastal resorts. The surfing potential attracts surfers from all over the UK to Newquay.

Such is the popularity of Cornish tourism; the growth is impacting the real estate sector with a growing demand for self-catering accommodation. Future property owners and those looking to rent out are showing a keen interest in the managed lifestyle residences offering many activities on your doorstep.

Spot Blue reports increased interest in its holiday cottages, near Newquay. The 2, 3- and 4-bedroom self-catering homes come with a fitted kitchen, central heating, installed wi-fi and all furniture. Buy-to-let investors also show interest in the optional 7% net rental return scheme.

As well as being close to beaches, on-site facilities include spa treatments, water sports, Aqua Park an indoor pool, children’s club, playground, bar and eatery, and equipped gym. For more information about Cornwall staycation holiday homes, contact Julian Walker at Spot Blue Property
