Dazzling Performances Enthrall audience at JMA Pilani Annual Day 2019

In India everyone talks about Cricket and the number of hundreds made by Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli while In Pilani everyone talks about Board Exams and Jamuna Mishra Academy JMA Pilani which brings 100% Results year after year. Pilani is educationally considered as the oxford of Rajasthan by the nation and world at large for quality education and treated as the knowledge capital of Rajasthan.

Lead school in Pilani, JMA was established in the year 2004 at Pilani which is considered as Oasis in the desert state of Rajasthan. JMA Pilani celebrated the Annual Day in a colorful function on 11 Nov 2019 which coincided with National Education day to mark the birthday of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. The Chief Guest for the function was Dr S M Prasanna Kumar Director B.K. Birla Institute of Engineering & Technology – BKBIET Pilani whose experience spans over three decades in academics and administration. On his arrival, he inaugurated the art exhibition in the main building of the school and proceeded to the school play ground where the buglers from the brass band played the welcome tune fanfare.

After lamp lighting by the chief guest and other dignitaries, the onstage programs started with Saraswati vandana followed by the school orchestra presenting a wide variety of songs thus setting the mood for a great evening of celebrations. Principal Mrs Booma Natarajan in the welcome address presented credentials of the chief guest and shared the academic as well as sports achievements of the school and the celebrations of various days of national and international importance. Her speech highlighted the educational contribution and achievements of the school for the fifteen year period 2004 -2019.

The onstage cultural programs included Classical Dance depicting Goddess Durga killing demon Mahisasur, Qawwali, dance for all time hit old hindi film songs, choir song in English, English play for all time favorite King Midas and his golden touch. The chief guest released the School Annual Magazine SPECTRUM 2019 as a movie covering each page which received a thunderous applause. The Chief Guest Dr Prasanna Kumar accompanied by Chairperson Dr Suman Mishra and Principal Mrs Booma Natarajan gave the best performer awards to various teachers and staff.

Best teacher awards went in Primary Section to Ms Anand Shekhawat and Ms Sarita Jangir; in Middle Section to Mrs Renu Sharma, Mrs Sarla Sharma, Mrs Sudha Pareek, and Mrs Santosh Shekhawat; and for Senior Section to Mr Anil Swami, Mr Mahendra Kumar, Mr Ajit Mallik and Ms Aarti Kashiramka. The coordinator award in Primary category was bagged by Ms Priya Mishra, Middle category by Mrs Laxmi Jangir and Senior category by Mrs Sushma Sharma. Other awards for teachers included Ms Laxmi Saini for Discipline, Mrs Preeti Gupta for art, Mr Vikas Sharma for NCC and Mrs Sita Sharma for band.

The award for administrative staff went to Ms Suman Gaur and the awards for supporting staff were bagged by Mrs Saroj Saini and Mrs Anandi Rawat. Special awards were given to Principal Mrs Booma Natarajan, Office Supervisor Mr Gautam Sain and supporting staff Mrs Bala for serving the institution uninterruptedly for fifteen years with utmost loyalty and dedication. Dr BR Natarajan presently teaching at Banasthali Vidyapith also received a special award for standing by the institution in all capacities from 2004 – 2019.

Dr Suman Mishra in her speech urged Team JMA to strengthen community connect activities and win more laurels in coming times. Subsequent cultural programs included mesmerizing Kathak dance performance, tribal dance, skit on social media and aerobics. The Chief Guest awarded prizes for best performing students of various classes. To a thunderous round of applause, the School topper for Class 10 board exam 2019 Miss Abiruchi received laptop while the other topper Miss Ritu, Miss Sakshi, Miss Chanchal got cash awards.

Toppers for Class 12 Board exams Miss Komal Rungta, Miss Monica Budania and Miss Mehak Agarwal received cash awards. Chief Guest in his inspiring speech congratulated the school for shaping students of India today for becoming dreamers performers and achievers as well as good citizens of India tomorrow. On behalf of the Institution, Sri Rishal Singh school Board member honored the Chief Guest with a shawl and President Dr Suman Mishra presented a glittering memento. The anchoring was done by students Mr Ayushman Sharma and Ms Sakshi Danewa.

Ms Neha Gupta anchored the staff awards program and Mrs Sushma Sharma proposed vote of thanks. The program ended with National Anthem. When the celebrations ended, the students and parents of JMA who had come for the function left with beaming faces and pride that they were indeed part of an institution which is a shining jewel in the crown among the schools at Pilani.
