Distron Corporation Enhances Capacity, Capability for Electromechanical Assembly
With both factory expansion and new equipment, Distron Corporation of Attleboro Falls, MA has, according to company president Robert Donovan, “Totally overhauled our capability to provide Electromechanical Assembly on a higher level.”Electromechanical assembly is an industrial manufacturing process for the electronic assemblies found in a vast majority of today’s devices. Distron Corporation regularly provides electromechanical assembly for a number of components including cable and harness assembly fan trays, chasses, power panel assemblies, enclosures, and medical devices.
As Distron’s President Robert Donovan explains, with a growing need for reliable electromechanical assembly in Massachusetts and beyond, Distron quickly realized that increased throughput and enhanced capabilities were absolutely essential to “meet the growing demand from customers in the cleantech, medical, LED lighting industries, and beyond.”
As both Donovan and Don Petry, Vice President of Sales and Marketing explain, recent additions and improvements at Distron Corporation are not limited to quality control and the physical capacity of Distron’s facility. In fact, the electromechanical assembler has made another $1 million investment in new equipment and substantially increased floor space. Petry continues, “In addition, our placement capacity has doubled and we will be making a push for more electromechanical work.” This includes state-of-the-art assembly equipment that will help Distron provide faster and more efficient electromechanical assembly for a growing list of customers from various industries around the country.
As Petry explains, “To put it simply, we’ve improved on everything from assembly capability and lead times to quality control. This is more than just expansion – it’s Distron Corporation completely overhauled and better prepared to meet the needs of customers now and in the future.”
