Exhibition Stand Designers Helping Creativity
Exhibition stand designers Astro Exhibitions are using their left-over building materials to help the community. Students at New Mills School Business and Enterprise College in High Peak, will now be able to undertake more varied and challenging projects thanks to the donations of plywood and perspex.
In the ten years since it was founded, Astro Exhibitions has built exhibition stands for some of the world’s largest companies, for events at prestigious venues all around the UK. Their portfolio of clients includes global companies such as Siemens, Casio Electronics and Shell.
New Mills School has been a Business and Enterprise College since 2005 and draws students from the nearby areas of New Mills, Hague Bar, Thornsett, Furness Vale, Newtown and Hayfield. It caters for around 750 students between the ages of 11 - 18.
The head teacher of New Mills, Jesse Elms, has written a letter to Astro Exhibitions, expressing his gratitude and thanks for the donation. For the school, not only does the initiative allow students to undertake more challenging projects, but it also reduces costs.
This is not the first time that Astro Exhibitions have donated their left-over building materials to the community. In the winter, local people are welcome to visit the site and pick up left-over wood for their log fires, or have Astro Exhibitions deliver it to their houses.
