NEW ZAGAT GUIDE FEATURES RELAIS & CHATEAUX DESTINATIONS IN NORTH AMERICA -- Hospitality Group Earns Region’s Highest Zagat Rating --

June 1, 2011 (New York, NY) – Zagat and Relais & Châteaux have teamed up to create a Zagat guide of the 68 outstanding Relais & Châteaux destinations in the United States, the Caribbean, Mexico and Canada. Together, Relais & Châteaux members earned an average rating of 27 out of 30 from Zagat’s reviewers, the highest rating of any association in North America.

The guide provides easy access to reviews of the Association’s world-renowned hotels and restaurants, known for their attention to detail, superior hospitality and distinct personalities. Established over a half century ago, Relais & Châteaux hoteliers, chefs and restaurateurs use their passion for hospitality and desire to innovate to create unique experiences and unforgettable celebrations of the senses.

Four of the top eight small hotels in Zagat’s Top US Hotels, Resorts and Spas Survey are Relais & Châteaux members: Auberge du Soleil, Blackberry Farm, Château du Sureau and The Inn at Little Washington.

The group’s acclaimed restaurants also received top marks from Zagat’s reviewers; Thomas Henkelmann is rated first in Connecticut, Gary Danko and The French Laundry have the top ratings in San Francisco and The Inn at Little Washington is number one in Washington, DC. Per Se, Daniel and Jean Georges sweep three of the top four spots for food in New York City and Montréal’s Restaurant Toqué! and Restaurant Europea are among the area’s top eateries.
