Sevenoaks retailing gets a welcome boost

Press release from: Blueberry PR

The future of retailing in Sevenoaks is looking brighter, according to a local commercial property expert.

George Gray, who heads Ibbett Mosely’s Commercial Property team, has recently been successful in letting premises in Sevenoaks to numerous clients. As well as transactions on London Road and Dorset Street, he has also arranged the letting of a prime High Street shop and is advising many occupiers and investor clients concerning other opportunities in the town.

George, who has more than 20 years’ experience in commercial property, said: “We are delighted to have been able to help all the parties involved in these recent transactions. Helping new retailers come to the town and find suitable premises can only be good for the local economy. Despite recent focus in the press about vacant shop properties on the High Street, the retail sector in Sevenoaks has not lost its lustre.”

Regarding offices in the town, George added: “Office lettings in Sevenoaks are being arranged, but at a much slower pace. Landlords need to ensure they get the product right in a lettings market where the quality of the space will differentiate the winners from the losers once occupier demand returns.

“There have been four transactions in the town over recent months with the latest letting to a Sevenoaks-based company taking 140 square metres of offices in a development which is otherwise fully let and adjacent to Junction 5 of the M25.”

Based in Sevenoaks, but operating across the South East, Ibbett Mosely’s Commercial Team conducts agency, property management and professional advisory services for owners, occupiers, and investors in commercial property. The team can also act on behalf of clients in the sale of freehold and leasehold premises, providing valuation advice and conducting negotiations in the case of lease renewals and rent reviews.

Best known for its residential and commercial property services, Ibbett Mosely offers a complete range of integrated property services, from selling, letting and property management to planning consultancy and design, surveying, architectural services and town planning. The award-winning company also owns an auction house in Sevenoaks specialising in furniture, antiques and fine art.

Ibbett Mosely, which has been operating for more than 100 years, has offices in London, Sevenoaks, Otford, Borough Green, Westerham and West Malling and has some of the UK’s most experienced chartered surveyors on their team.
