Press release from: Forte Public Relations

Mirador senior living community, which opens in June, has named Wayne Webb director of dining services. The announcement was made by Cindy Waldron, executive director of Mirador.

Webb brings a mastery of diverse cuisine and more than 20 years of experience in the food services industry to his new position. Prior to joining Mirador, Webb served as executive chef for The Buckingham, Mirador’s sister community in Houston.

“With years of experience as a chef for upscale restaurants and hotels, Wayne understands the dynamics of creating world-class meals,” said Waldron. “In addition, his broad knowledge of Asian, French, Italian, Creole, American Bounty and Southern cuisines will surely bring a distinct menu to Mirador. Our new residents have a treat in store for them, and we are excitedly anticipating our June opening so that we can begin spotlighting Chef Webb’s talents.”

Webb’s role at Mirador will encompass a wide range of dining services including menu planning, ensuring food quality, catering events, hiring and managing the cook and wait staff, and more.

Opening in June in the heart of south Corpus Christi, Mirador is the area’s only full service life care senior living community. The $79 million gated community includes approximately 125 customized independent living apartment homes, each with a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and 24-hour emergency response system, as well as 44 private assisted living suites, 41 private rooms for dignified nursing care, and 18 private residences for memory support. Designed to enrich the lives of seniors, Mirador features 25,000 square feet of commons areas on a lush 17-acre campus with a premier location close to local restaurants, shops and attractions.

Mirador is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit senior living community sponsored by Senior Quality Lifestyles Corporation (SQLC), a Texas-based nonprofit organization that sponsors sister communities Edgemere in Dallas, The Buckingham in Houston, Querencia at Barton Creek in Austin, and The Stayton at Museum Way under construction in Fort Worth.
