Chef Big Shake to Appear on ABC's Shark Tank

Noted chef and food manufacturer, Shawn Davis to appear on ABC’s Shark Tank on March 20, 2011. Better known as Chef Big Shake, Shawn hopes to convince the millionaire Sharks to invest in his food company.

Franklin, TN March 17, 2011: Shawn Davis, affectionately known as, Chef Big Shake goes up against the Sharks in hopes of convincing them to invest in his food company. “I am excited to tell the world about the innovative food concepts I am creating at CBS Foods. I am lucky to be among the businesses featured on the special pre-season preview episode”, says Shawn.

“The Shark Tank”, a one hour reality series, follows entrepreneurs as they pitch their businesses to millionaire investors Mark Cuban, Jeff Foxworthy, Barbara Corcoran, Kevin Harrington, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John and Kevin O'Leary. If the Sharks like what they hear, they will make investment deals with the entrepreneurs.

Raised in Bayshore, New York, Chef Big Shake’s once family oriented neighborhood, was severely affected when “crack cocaine” hit the streets in the early 1980’s. In an effort to keep Chef Big Shake safe and in a positive environment, his mother sent him to Ocean Beach to work during the summers starting at age 12. There he would meet a man he still considers his mentor and credits with teaching him a love for the food business. Restaurant founder Giovanni Palmero, took Shawn under his wing and allowed him to work his way up in the business. For the next seven seasons, Chef Big Shake took the ferry to the island at the start of the busy summer season and worked until returning just before school started again in the fall.
