Chef Brahim Ben Hassen, a young Tunisian Executive Chef living in Saudi Arabia, has taken out 3rd place in the World Association of Master Chefs International online video competition Chefs Bench 2020. This is a tremendous achievement for the chef and has reinforced his drive and determination in an environment where he has a big love for food.

Chef Brahim has always been a lover of food and at 18 years old he finished my training at Tourism Boujaafer Sousse, even though many of his co-workers said he was too young to be a chef, his perseverance and drive spurred him on. This led him to understand that in order for him to succeed he should not think about what others thought of him and that he was going to prove to everyone that he was talented and loved the kitchen. The smells, emotions and atmosphere were truly in his veins.

Working across a variety of cuisines such as French and Italian and even Chinese food sculpture and fruit design. In fact, Chef Brahim used a French recipe of Sauteed shrimps in garlic lemon sauce made with garlic butter, dill lemon juice, black pepper, salt and garnished with carrots zucchini green bean onions potatoes and tuiles, to place 3rd in the world.
Chef Brahim perfected his skills in prestigious establishments such as El Khalil Restaurant, Phynix Carthage, Residence Hotel and the Renaissance Hotel.

His passion or food has taken him to other countries such as Libya where he had the honour to be the private chef for the Libyan President for two years. In 2010 he moved to work in Saudi Arabia as an executive chef in a 4-star hotel and two seafood restaurants. He is still working here and loving life with his family.

During all these years Chef Brahim also learn the art of Indian food and expanded his knowledge of the traditions and methods of Oriental food cuisine. “My passion to the kitchen doesn't have and end,” he said as he was told he had come 3rd in the Chef Bench world Competition.

Chef Brahim understands the importance of growth and diversity in cooking and wants to continues to share his passion with the world. We will certainly see more of this inspiring chef in the future.
