Edcomm Banker's Academy Launches Overview of Basel II and III Training
Edcomm Banker’s Academy has recently launched Basel II and III training for financial institutions worldwide.New York, NY, March 14, 2011 -- Edcomm Banker’s Academy has recently launched Basel II and III training for financial institutions worldwide. Upon completion of Overview of Basel II and III, bank personnel will be able to better understand the embedded risks throughout all aspects of their financial institution and take any actions needed to combat or alleviate such risks.
Issued by the Basel Committee of Banking Supervision (BCBS), The Basel International Convergence of Capital Measurement and Capital Standards, known as Basel II, was published in June, 2004 as the second of the recommendations on banking laws and regulations. Basel II replaced the original Basel Capital Accord, Basel I, by adding additional requirements for measuring risk and capital. On September 12, 2010, the Basel Committee’s governing body announced higher global minimum capital standards for capital banks, referred to as Basel III.
Overview of Basel II and III, from Edcomm Banker’s Academy, teaches bank employees everything they need to know about the financial framework within which decisions at their bank are based to ensure the safety and security of the bank, its customers and its employees. Delivered in an interactive, eLearning format, the program provides an overview of Basel II, including the evolution of Basel II, the key elements of the First Pillar, the Second Pillar and the Third Pillar, and implementation and penalties, as well as information on the newly introduced Basel III framework.
