On March 12th, 1989, the concept of the World Wide Web was first introduced. The invention of the World Wide Web can be considered the greatest technological breakthrough of the last century, it’s hard to imagine our everyday lives without it.

To commemorate this occasion, Penki Kontinentai Group presents its new corporate website - www.5ci.lt.

“Our decision to launch the new website in March did not happen at random. On this day, 30 years ago, the concept of the WWW was first presented. We are proud to take part in the internet’s history, as one of our group’s main areas of expertise is Web-based technologies and innovation. 5ci.lt was one of the first corporate websites created in Lithuania. The design of the previous website is part of our history. It shows us how over the years the Internet grew and evolved. We hope that the new corporate website will take its place of honor in the history of Lithuanian high technology,” says Idrakas Dadašovas, Founder and Chairperson of Penki Kontinentai Group.

The new website www.5ci.lt meets the latest trends and is made to be intuitive and easy to use. You can find detailed information on the site about the Group, the history and activity of each company, the services provided, the awards received and the innovations introduced.

Penki Kontinentai Group was one of the first companies to develop Internet technologies and web design in Lithuania. The Penki kontinentai team created the country’s first search engine, job posting site, and e-mail service. While browsing the website, the visitor is able to access other websites, created by the company group and discover the history of the Lithuanian internet.

The Penki Kontinentai Group has been working in the areas of banking technology, innovative payment solutions and telecommunications services for almost 30 years. Among other, the group includes such major companies as Penkių kontinentų bankinės technologijos (BS/2), Penkių kontinentų komunikacijų centras, ASHBURN International, and Skaitmeninio sertifikavimo centras. International banks, financial institutions and retail companies in over 80 countries currently benefit from software and technological solutions developed by Penki Kontinentai Group. Penki Kontinentai is a business partner of many international technology companies, including Diebold Nixdorf, Cisco Systems, Unisys, Gemalto/Thales, Ingenico, Microsoft, Arris, and others.
