Judges Select Booker Snow as the William Malcolm Man of Style and Substance Winner
Fashion Designer And Humanitarian William Malcolm Awards Five Prominent Michigan Men With The Distinguished Man Of Benevolence Award For Their Philanthropic Endeavors At The Second Annual Man Of Style And Substance Contest Selection GalaTroy, MI, March 01, 2011 -- The second annual William Malcolm Man of Style And Substance Contest Selection Gala www.WilliamMalcolmManofStyle.com was held at the Historic Charles H. Wright Museum in mid town Detroit. Classic menswear designer and community activist William Malcolm honored Howard Tapper President and CEO of Tappers Jewelers, Freddie Scott Former NFL star and College Football Hall of Famer, Dr. Charles Boyd of Renew Faces, former Mayor of Detroit Dennis Archer Sr. of Dickinson Wright law firm and Dr. Jim Dragun of Dragun Corporation at his annual Man of Style And Substance Contest Selection Gala. These five men were each awarded a 2010 Distinguished Man of Benevolence Award. They were honored for this prestigious award based upon their accomplishments both professional and philanthropic. Senator-Elect Bert Johnson (Detroit) was honored with a Distinguished Community Advocate Award for his dedicated service to his constituents.
Over three hundred people attended the annual charity event. Gala guests were treated to an unbelievable experience as they were privy to private tours of the Historic Charles H. Wright Museum. The Gala succeeded in accomplishing its goal of highlighting, showcasing and awarding positive men from Michigan.
The event also marked the conclusion of the six week contest with the selection of Booker Snow as the second William Malcolm Man of Style And Substance winner. Booker was selected out of 256 total entrants based upon his viewpoints and actions in regards to chivalry towards women, personal integrity and community service works. Booker was awarded with a prize package in excess of $15,000 including a trip for two to Mexico, cosmetic teeth whitening provided by Studio 32 VIP www.studio32vip.com with Dr. Bradley, a custom watch from Tappers Jewelers, a 42’ flat screen television from Wal Mart Corporation a wardrobe from contest founder William Malcolm and many more gifts and prizes.
When asked about his thoughts of the winner of this year’s competition William Malcolm replied “I am pleased with the selection of the judges. All five of the finalists were qualified to win the William Malcolm Man of Style And Substance 2010 award. I believe that a true man of style must have substance because without inner substance he is simply unable to impact his environment for better.
