Translators with a heart give further support to aid projects throughout the world
The fundraising initiative set up in January 2010 by a group of freelance translators after the earthquake in Haiti has now become a permanent institution. Initially, the collection of donations was limited to a period of three months. With regular donations, Martina Birkhoff and her colleagues continue to support selected humanitarian and development aid organizations. Recently, 300 euros were transferred to the “Afghanischer Frauenverein“ in Osnabrueck, Germany, for the Pakistan flood victims. Any person or organization in or outside the translation sector is welcome to support TAP’s work by donating money and/or goods. The translator’s aid project was established in January 2010. Its objective is emergency and disaster aid, but even long-term development aid projects are supported by money and goods donations.
