ID International donates brand to African charity, Feeding Nations Through Education

Feeding Nations Through Education has a new logo and corporate brand to assist their efforts to save orphan children and adoption families in the African country of Burkina Faso. Branding agency ID International has designed and donated the new logo to assist the company with their extraordinary efforts. Design Director Mathew Jacobs says, "Feeding Nations is a great organization that is really making a difference in Africa. As a socially and environmentally responsible company, we were happy to accomplish their corporate identity for them."

Feeding Nations Through Education (FNTE) was founded by Koudougou Alfred Koala, an African orphan who found a way out of Africa and to Butte College in Northern California. His personal story is amazing. An orphan in Burkina Faso, Koudougou saw all his fellow youths scratching in the hard ground with their bare hands to plant the family livelihood in Burkina Faso: millet seed. If enough millet can get planted by hand, then and only then can the families consider sending their children to school. For Koudougou, this wasn't a way to live life, he wanted an education. Making his way to the capital city Ouagadougou, he got a job at the US Consulate, managed to teach himself English and earn enough money for an airplane ticket to the United States. Then from a book, he selected California State University Chico as his destination.

After arriving in New York only to find that California wasn't a taxi ride away, he finally made it to CSU, Chico almost a year later. Upon visiting the University administration office to "check in" for the year, he discovered that the application fee that he sent in a couple years previously, which he thought was to include his room and board for the year, was received, application denied, and no, he couldn't have the fee back. Dismayed, Koudougou went to his local christian Church, was offered room and board, and was informed about the local community college Butte College. Koudougou then re-vowed to be a student at CSU, Chico one day.

Today, Koudougou has completed his first university years at Butte College and has successfully transferred to CSU, Chico, realizing his lifelong dream. In response to his own successes, he has started a company to bring that success home, and now that company is successfully changing the lives of children across his home country. Feeding Nations Through Education raises money to buy bulls and plows for families that will adopt an orphan child. Then when the bulls reach maturity, the Burkina Faso government programs exchange two young bulls for every mature one, doubling the family's herd and allowing more of their children to attend school. Their new logo says it all at a glance; the African continent with the Burkina Faso flag colors, millet, a bull, and a child with his backpack for school. Powerful imagery that says it all.

The designers at ID International were pleased to complete the logo project along with other brand elements such as matching donation cards and website solutions for their fundraising efforts. At the time of this release, the logo is being showcased on a temporary website as their next generation of FNTE web media is developed utilizing the designs donated by ID International. "We always have one donation project going at any one time," states Jacobs, "because it's very important for successful companies to give back to both their communities and to the world in general. Koudougou was an excellent client, and the final logo is a direct result of the good teamwork involved in any successful corporate identity."
