1. Cruise Recruiting Day in Bremerhaven / Germany on 18.02.2011
For the first time in over 11 years of successful business history, the Connect Worldwide Recruiting Agency will arrange its first ‘Cruise Recruiting Day’ in Bremerhaven on February 18, 2011 from 9.30am to 6:30pm.Due to this maritime ‘job and recruiting fare’, the agency Connect is bringing the most famous and leading cruise companies in the cruise industry to Bremerhaven.
Especially at the beginning of the year the cruise lines have many jobs to offer on their cruise ships and river cruise ships. On this day, hundreds of jobs will be offered that will be available immediately or during the coming weeks and months.
The following positions in the hotel and hospitality business will be offered:
• Hotel Manager / F&B Manager / Assistant F & B Manager / Provision Master.
• Kitchen/Galley: From Commis de Cuisines to Exec Chefs and Pastry Chefs.
• Service: From Commis de Rang’s to Maitre ‘D’s.
• Bars: From Bar Waiter, Bartender to Bar Manager and Sommelier.
• Housekeeping: From Cabin Attendants to Housekeepers.
• Reception: From Receptionists to Front Office Managers &
• Entertainment: From Hostess to International Hostesses.
All positions are of course are open for female and male candidates.
The event is free of charge and intends to give candidates and cruise lines the possibility for a personal interview and if possible to confirm a job on that day.
At the present status following cruise lines have confirmed their participation:
A-Rosa ( Switzerland ), CSM ( Germany ), Gsell & Partner (Switzerland), Holland America Line (Netherlands), Seadream Cruises (Norway), The Yachts of Seabourn (Great Britain), Uniworld – Boutique River Crusie Selection - (Switzerland). Other well known cruise lines have been invited, but their participation at this time has not been confirmed.
Besides presentations of some cruise lines there will also be a lot of information, ideas and valuable tips about the topic "Living and working on board a cruise ship" from the agency Connect . Furthermore, Connect could win as a consultant the AFZ / Training Centre (Rostock), the Employment Agency Suhl (Thüringen) with the project "Meer Arbeit" and the
University Bremerhaven with the International Degree Programme : CIM-Cruise Industry Management.
If you would like to participate, then a registration with us at Connect is essential.
This is notice is intended to clarify in advance whether the desired position is available and whether an application could be successful. The candidates will be provided with valuable information and tips on successful applications and questions regarding this topic will be clarified.
