Countrywide Appoints New Social Housing Manager

Andrew Cowell has been appointed Social Housing Manager for Countrywide, the UK's largest property services Group.

In a newly created role, Andrew will be working with the Group's Social Housing team and will be advising Housing Associations and Local Government Authorities on asset management and disposal services.

Countrywide has extensive experience in social housing, having provided a range of services to Housing Associations and Registered Social Landlords over the past 15 years. Andrew's appointment follows the launch of Countrywide's new dedicated social housing team, led by Chris Shaw, which brings together experts from estate agency, lettings, auctions, property management, new homes, valuation and surveying.

Announcing Andrew's appointment, Robert Scarff, Managing Director of Countrywide Estate Agents, said; "We're delighted to have Andrew on board. His substantial experience both within housing associations and also as a Social Housing service provider will complement and enhance the strengths of our offering."

Andrew joins Countrywide with a varied and successful career having worked as a Business Development Director at Brinc with responsibility for managing the financial services provided to NHS employees. More recently Andrew has been working as Head of Equity Loans at Metropolitan Home Ownership, part of Metropolitan Housing Trust.
