Dusseldorf, 7 February 2007 - an international city receives a new dimension in communications: "Amazing Dusseldorf ". This new English language on-line portal for the international community provides a variety of information about Dusseldorf and the region. www.AmazingDusseldorf.com informs both topically and extensively about life in Germany’s most liveable city.

Slogans like "Find the right A, B, Cs in D" and "Color it Exciting" entice the user to a virtual visit of the pulsating Rhine metropolis. "Amazing Dusseldorf" merges local events and relevant nationwide facts in a unique way with many tips on the dynamic cultural and economic life, processed especially for foreign target groups. Only a few clicks and all-important information and features concerning life and work in the city are revealed. Furthermore, it offers profound orientation as well as practical help to all, enabling the best possible start in new surroundings.

It is tailor-made to all international visitor's of the city, whether Expatriate, tourist or business traveller. Above all, subscribers profit from the enlarged service of the web portal, i.e. the planned Community area. The annual subscription will buy numerous exclusive advantages. During the launch of the website an attractive raffle awaits newsletter subscribers and all users can participate in photo and writing competitions.

The website will specifically support Expatriates who make Dusseldorf their short-term home, on average three to four years. “’Amazing Dusseldorf’ is a centre for people to discover life and opportunities of the city in the English language and the intention was to create a new quality of information”, accords initiator Garry Hurskainen-Green.

Well-chosen partners process specific news, tips and features in English and are important for content optimisation. Supporting the new communication medium, a periodical flyer is planned which doubles as a marketing instrument. While the Internet page places the main focus also on everyday life, the flyer will contain interesting subjects for English-speaking readers in direct relation to the city and life in Germany. This creates new opportunities for focussed announcements to customers and sponsors. As a pool of information, the package offers an attractive platform for companies to introduce news, products and services.

An enormous need for a regional English-language medium definitely exists. More than 55,000 people from abroad live and work in Dusseldorf. The international community consists of Britons, Americans and people from Northern and Baltic countries as well as citizens from many other nations around the world. In addition to Expatriates about one million tourists visit the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia every year. Dusseldorf is one of the leading commercial centres in Germany with more than 5,000 foreign companies are settled in this region.

“And, although Dusseldorf is recognised as a "Global player" on account of its economic power and infrastructure, it is still widely unknown to many people abroad." as Garry Hurskainen-Green knows from his own experience. This gap will to be closed over time by " Amazing Dusseldorf", which will not only contribute to the integration of foreigners but also promote the fame of Dusseldorf abroad.
