New Model of Social Networking Integrates Facebook with Existing Website.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, December 21st, 2010 -- Remembered.com is launching a Facebook application that integrates its online memorial website within the Facebook application framework. This strategic milestone in product development comes just 3 months after the website was launched in September.

Remembered.com allows anyone with a computer to easily create an online memorial and send to their friends, family, and co-workers via email or Facebook. Those notified can inform others, offer condolences, or make donations to the charity of the departed. Traditionally, newspaper obituaries, emails, and phone calls would be the primary means of communication. Remembered.com offers loved ones around the world faster and more dynamic interaction.

Remembered.com was among the first to incorporate social networking into coping with the loss of a loved one, helping those left behind to surround themselves virtually with others who can exchange fond memories. A dedicated URL (e.g. http://johndoe.remembered.com) is created that is easy to share with others. An online photo share allows registered users to contribute photos, comments, and condolences with each other from every corner of the world. The social networking service is free for all family and friends to use to share the life and legacy of their departed loved ones.

"Truly a person’s legacy is best defined by those they shared their life with," said Ivan Vias, Lead Developer. "Facebook integration allows us to connect with the people from grade school to retirement and create a rich tapestry of a person’s lifetime."

The new Facebook application can be visited at http://apps.facebook.com/beremembered/
