Inlevel Introduces A New Way Of Discovering Business Software

Business applications a few clicks away. One can hear uniformly that every business is different. Each business struggles with different issues which are characterized as totally unique to it. Meanwhile you can categorize most business challenges using just five aspects. That's what inlevel tries to do to allow business people to easily discover applications for their work.

At the first glance, a number of business issues in any modern company is staggering. Researching markets, identifying customers, marketing products to them, designing products, selling and delivering products, providing customer care, processing payments, managing employees, etc. Most professionals run at least a dozen projects simultaneously. It's amazing they have any time for a coffee.

However when you take a look at this huge array of issues each business needs to face each day, they can be assigned to a limited number of well defined categories. When you deal with any business issue you always need to answer five simple questions:

1. What are we going to change or achieve? (benefit)

2. Where this change needs to be implemented? -(relevant business area and affected business process)

3. What is specific to this issue taking into consideration the industry we are in?

4. How are we going to measure results of this project? - (Key Performance Indicators)

By applying this five-dimensional framework to the description of our business issue, we get a robust way of discovering potential solutions to our problem. Don't be scared by the multi-dimensionality mentioned before - you really do not need to be a rocket scientist to apply this method.

Take an example of a car dealer (industry):

"I need more people visiting my showroom. I'm thinking about extending my web site, so that it would generate sales leads, my sales people can work on (sales & marketing area / sales process). Critical elements to me are both the number of leads that would be generated as well as their quality. Based on my previous experience I can assume that 1 in 10 of such leads can be converted into a sale (KPI). And each sale generates on average $2000 in revenues for me. (benefit)"

There are at least tens of thousands of various business products and services available on the market - just try searching for CRM on Google. The problem is you cannot easily find what's relevant to you in a given situation, since all of them are described by their vendors in its own specific way. So our car dealer has no idea where to start her/his quest for desired solution. Most probably she/he is discouraged to search on Google, since she/he does not expect to find any solution without browsing through hundreds of pages filled by incomprehensible language.
