BBC Children in Need to Boost Donations with Postcode Anywhere

Worcester, UK – 17 November 2010 – BBC Children in Need will give their website a boost this week thanks to rapid address look-up software from Postcode Anywhere.

The software, which is to be supplied free of charge, speeds up the time taken to process donations by allowing donors to auto-complete an entire postal address from just the postcode. This cuts data entry time by at least 50% and should allow the charity to take a considerably higher volume of transactions on the night.

Beth Courtier, Community Investment Programme Manager for BT, working on behalf of BBC Children in Need, said: “This application will make a significant difference to the number of transactions we can process – we think it could save half the transaction time. And as we know from all our years working on these appeals, what is critical is getting donations processed. Ultimately, every transaction means more money for the charity.”
