R4 SDHC Team Releases New v2.10T Card

11-01-2010 09:09 AM CET | IT, New Media & Software

Press release from: DSCardWorld

The world’s most popular R4 card, the R4 SDHC, is getting a face lift. First available alongside the former version, the R4 SDHC v 2.10T is now the flagship product of the R4 SDHC team. The familiar black box is now officially discontinued, and no longer in stock with official retailers such as DSCardWorld. However, the old black box version will still be supported by official retailers for up to a year after they were first purchased.

The official name is the R4 SDHC v2.10T but also may be referred to as the “Happy Box” packaging as it’s designed to be used with the R4 SDHC team’s DS Card management client software, DS Happy Box currently in beta. Despite how it may look, this is NOT the R4i Gold, and it is not a fake, it is another product from the same manufacturer as the world’s most popular R4 since the original retired in 2008. The box boasts a new textured gold surface, which is immediately eye catching. It differs from the R4i Gold which is made by a completely different manufacturer despite the similar colour.

As you can see it has a textured gold surface, immediately eye-catching. It differs from the R4i Gold which, although of the same color is a completely different card from a different manufacturer. It is important to stress that consumers do not purchase fake cards, as many of them no longer work and indeed will not be compatible with any new Nintendo firmware updates. The R4 SDHC v2.10T has no problem with Nintendo's latest update, the 1.4.1, however, as it is designed for the Nintendo DS and DS Lite consoles but not the DSi and DSi XL.

The box and the card itself clearly shows the r4sdhc.com website, which is the same home site as the R4 SDHC black box. Any other 'official website' is fake, with the prime examples being the R4 Ultra, R4 Advance, and G6 cards. The R4 SDHC 2.10T is available at http://www.dscardworld.com

Homebrew users and gamers alike can purchase their R4 SDHC v2.10T cards from DSCardWorld, who are based in the USA. All cards are individually tested before shipping and dispatch is guaranteed to be next working day, ensuring the quality of their cards. Their R4 SDHC customer service is second to none and online 24/7 via e-mail.
