Rod Vesling, President of SOFTPRO North America E-Signing Solutions

Softpro is exhibiting at BAI Retail Delivery at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, NV on October 19-21 in booth 205. This conference brings together leaders in retail banking from around the world and Softpro will be showing off its latest innovations in electronic signature software. Its solutions have long assisted banks in detecting check signature fraud, and leveraging this, Softpro is now enabling banks to automate traditional paper processes which in the past required ink and paper signatures.

Softpro’s SignDoc software enables banks to transact with their clients completely paperless secured with electronic signing processes throughout all their channels. The benefit is a more enjoyable customer experience, lower costs for the bank, and contribution to green initiatives.

"The nations largest banks have trusted Softpro for many years in helping them detect signature based fraud. Today we are pleased to extend this capability to help the industry transform the way it transacts with its clients,” said Rodney G. Vesling, President E-signature Solutions at Softpro. "People are looking for convenient, streamlined, and secure ways to interact with financial institutions. Our E-Signature technology is enabling banks to provide services through additional channels (web, ATM, and mobile) that were once thought to be available only in the branch. This is a win for all involved”

There will be several key capabilities that Softpro will be demonstrating. They include:
- the ease in which financial institutions can integrate e-signatures into their processes
- a standard signature platform that enables device flexibility and multiple signature options
- interoperability between off-line and on-line electronic signing
- integration between e-signatures for workflow automation and fraud detection

In addition to discussion with industry experts and product demonstrations, the company will be sharing details regarding one of its most recent multi-thousand seat deployments in the banking industry that has resulted in over $400M in savings and recognition from The Banker with its 2010 Banking Technology Innovation award.

About SOFTPRO
The SOFTPRO GmbH is a world leader in developing and marketing products and solutions for digital capture, management and verification of handwritten signatures.

The fastest growing line of business are solutions for E-Signing - in particular biometric signatures. SOFTPRO is offering E-Signing software - from the SDK (SignWare) via desktop clients (SignDoc) to a complete platform for Web-based signing (SignDoc Web). The products support a wide range of devices for signature capturing - from basic pen pads up to Tablet PCs. This can lower your costs, accelerate business processes, eliminate errors and protect documents against manipulation. E-Signing with SOFTPRO is environmentally friendly and thus supports Green IT initiatives and Corporate Social responsibility programs.

The second major division of SOFTPRO is the detection of fraud through automated comparison of signatures. This comparison is primarily used for checks. SOFTPRO’s Automatic Signature Verification is also used to secure the postal ballot (e.g. in the United States and the United Kingdom) and the transfer of pension rights (e.g. in Mexico). Additional fraud analysis tools may be added to the verification process. The results of these complex tests are analyzed, weighted and presented as a holistic risk assessment.

SOFTPRO solutions are currently used in 30 countries on five continents. Ten of the world's 25 largest banks are SOFTPRO customers, as well as insurance, retail and telecommunications companies, public administration, the energy and the health sector.

The parent company of the SOFTPRO group is the SOFTPRO GmbH founded 1983 in Boeblingen near Stuttgart. Three subsidiaries are based in the United States, in the United Kingdom and in Singapore. An additional representation operates in Brazil. The group currently employs around sixty people. SOFTPRO's software is developed "made in Germany".
