Far Flung Outdoor Center Selects Resmark Tour Operator Software For Continued Business Expansion
SALT LAKE CITY, UT Sept. 29, 2010 -- Resmark Systems, comprehensive tour operator software created by tour operators, announced that Far Flung Outdoor Center in Terlingua, TX, has selected Resmark software to manage their expanding outdoor recreation business. Far Flung offers river rafting, canoeing, ATV and Jeep rentals, as well as guided hiking tours and lodging in the Big Bend National Park.Greg Henington, owner/operator, Far Flung Outdoor Center and former president of America Outdoors Association, said that prior to Resmark, Far Flung was using out-dated software for which functionality and technology support were issues.
“We needed a system that was fully automated with an online reservation system; that was paramount,” said Henington. “But we also needed an easier way to view our database and stay in touch with our customers because much of our business is repeat customers.”
He said Far Flung chose Resmark because of their experience in the tour operator market and because the software is offered as a service.
“I liked Resmark because I did not have to buy expensive hardware and I don’t have to worry as much about the system going down and not being able to do business,” he added.
Resmark Systems has given Far Flung the ability to take reservations online any day of the week and any hour of the day. Reservations can be made, paid for and a confirmation sent to the customer all automatically in half the time it used to take using the old system.
“I think the future of this business is online, said Hennington, “We believe that Resmark has helped expand our business already, and will allow us to offer more activities with little or no additional staff. We can get information to our customers quicker and we look more professional.”
In the future, Far Flung plans to fully ultize Resmark’s marketing functionality to expand their business further through automated emails, promotions and driving people to their website.
