Add On Technology exclusively manufactures this lightning fast USB 2.0 stick for Memorysolution and the European fully owned subsidiary of Add On, dynaTRON Electronics. Its straightforward design makes it a real eye-catcher, charming one’s fingers once handled. The elegant case hides pure high performance in all aspects. Actually sporting memory capacities of up to 4GB, the stick will soon be available in an 8GB version as of Q1/2007. During the design process of this new PenDrive, the main focus was on functional aspects with a best-of-breed user experience in mind. Its inherent elegance however was a side effect coming quite natural after all.

Only 64 x 19 x 8 mm in size, this 14g super lightweight and lean memory giant sports a USB 1.1 compatible High-Speed USB 2.0 connector. The high-performance controller offers impressive transfer rates of up to 25MB per second, while its memory is capable of more than a million read/write cycles.

Future-safe by concept, the PenDrive Go is fully compatible with Windows Vista, XP, 2000, ME, as well as Linux (Kernel 2.4 and higher) and Mac OS 8.6 and above. Already by today the stick supports a new function of Microsoft’s upcoming Windows VISTA dubbed “Ready Boost“. This new Vista-Feature allows for the use of external flash components as an expansion of your system’s cache. That way, the system makes use of the PenDrive Go as additional cache memory that can be accessed much faster than on traditional hard disks, thus accelerating the access on frequently used data and applications significantly.

Another top feature is the rugged sliding mechanism for the USB connector. When not in use, the connector is simply pulled back and hidden inside the stick, perfectly protecting the connector against external impact and damage. Like all Original PenDrive©, this lean model can easily be deployed even in the narrow alignments of USB ports likely to be found on notebooks, in USB hubs and hub slot cards without the need for additional extension cables often required by other USB components.

Besides its outstanding technical performance characteristics, the PenDrive Go offers another advantage likely to be more interesting for the commercial rather than the home user. Plenty of room on the stick’s housing makes it an ideal candidate for the so called “customizing“. Not only can the logo be exchanged for corporate logos or brand names. Starting from quantities >1k, one may even personalize the color of the housing the stick comes with. To perfectly cater customer’s preferences, the PenDrive Go comes as bulk, retail ready packed in a blister or in decorative, high-class gift box.

Finally yet importantly, the PenDrive Go supports flash ROM (EEPROM) for ISP (In-System Programming). You can change / update the PenDrive USB flash drives’ firmware anytime and anywhere through a USB port, ensuring its proper function with future operating systems. For security demands, you can use the PenDrive as a key to valuable information on your hard disk drive. Without the key (which is the PenDrive), the data is not accessible. In addition, you may encrypt data on the memory stick or protect it by a password.
