Pensioner

Hi Mr Miller,

thank you very much for taking some time for our interview. As CEO from Fundsback (visit us at www.fundsback.org) it is a pleasure for me to talk to you today. I regularly interview customers of us to get a comprehensive view.

Let´s start.

You have worked in Germany for several years and now you are living in the United States in Florida.
Could you please tell us why you decided to come to Germany and where and in what position you worked in Germany?

Miller: I came to Germany via the US Army and when it was time to re-enlist or go back to the US, I decided to stay in Germany. I assumed a position with a firm in Frankfurt, Germany, as a Regional Manager selling and representing consumer items to the Post Exchange and US Army commissary systems.

Fundsback: Do you think all people from abroad, who are working in Germany, are informed about the possibility of getting back their own paid pension contributions or how to get their old age pension?

Miller: It would be reasonable to think, if you contributed to the German Old Age Pension System, a person should apply, if there was any possibility of getting a return for this contribution. But I doubt, that this is well-known.

Fundsback: We see a huge requirement for professional advice and we wonder why people need help to communicate with the Deutsche Rentenversicherung. Do you think the entire process, the required forms and the needed documents are transparent and easy to understand for everyone?

Miller: No, for sure not, and it´s a lot of paperwork. Furthermore, I found, because of all the fraud that goes on in the world, it was best I find an attorney to claim my compensation for me. Fundsback works with attorneys, so it was the best choice for me.
Fundsback: You contacted Fundsback to manage the complicated process of the application for your old age pension. How did you get notice of Fundsback?

Miller: I found Fundsback in a webpage. There were only two to select and I thought the name Fundsback was appropriate, so I contacted Fundsback.

Fundsback: What convinced you to become a Fundsbacker?

Miller: Fundsback communicated with me very fast and professional. I found this to be positive.

Fundsback: Please tell us something about your experiences during the whole process?

Miller: Deutsche Rentenversicherung is slow to move, but Fundsback kept accelerate the whole process.

Fundsback: After 12 months working time on your case, you received a message from Fundsback. How was your feeling when you realized, that your application was successful and you will receive your pension every month?

Miller: My feeling was optimal and now I can buy me a house to live in with this income.

Fundsback: What would you recommend your friends who worked or who are still working in Germany?

Miller: I would recommend working with Fundsback, they did a great job.

Mr. Miller, thank you very much for your time and I wish you all the best.
