Press release from: HCR Group

HCR Group, the Basingstoke based employee relocation and accommodation service provider, has won Highly Commended for Best Service at the Public Procurement GO AWARDS for the second year running.

HCR’s dynamic business relationship with the Ministry of Defence’s Defence Estates was recognised by the judges as “excellent” once again. At the Awards Ceremony in London, Grahame Steed, Managing Director of Government Opportunities (GO) magazine acknowledged HCR’s consistent drive to seek best value for the MoD without compromising standards. “HCR is an example of true collaborative working between the SME private sector and the public sector. They demonstrate the highest standards, a pro-active approach and a relationship that should be an exemplar to other organisations”.

In accepting the award, Business Development Director Adrian Leach commented, “our business ethos is to examine the total cost of relocation and accommodation provision and then seek to maximise the value for our clients, without compromising our high service standards. We have developed award-winning processes and networks that will allow us to provide appropriate accommodation solutions for any client, at any budget, anywhere in the UK. Our work with the MoD has created a business model that can be used for any private business or Government department, and that is the outstanding legacy of our superb relationship.”

Andrew Smith, Operations Director observed that “last year the GO Award winning “HCR – MoD Accommodation Scheme” was examined at Sir Christopher Kelly’s Committee investigating MPs’ expenses. Sir Christopher went on to recommend that MPs’ use a scheme “along the lines of the MoD Scheme”. This recommendation, together with this prestigious award, demonstrates our exceptional working relationship and business model”.
