/ PR Agency: dvl
CLEARWATER, Fla. – (April 20, 2010) – Brian Talley, Director of Business Development and Outpatient Services at Windmoor Healthcare, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) facility, was recently appointed to the board of directors of NAMI Pinellas County, Fla.

Windmoor Healthcare became the first NAMI Community Partner in 2009 through a sponsorship opportunity with the local NAMI affiliate. As a result, Windmoor is featured in each issue of the NAMI Pinellas newsletter and is highlighted on the NAMI Web site and at its community events and outreach presentations.

"Brian will be a great asset to the Board, as he brings, not only 20 plus years of experience working locally in the field of mental health and substance abuse, but also the perspective of a family member and advocate who understands the challenges we face as a grassroots organization," said Board President Donald Turnbaugh.

"Brian and Windmoor Healthcare have been very generous to NAMI Pinellas, donating time, energy and resources," Turnbaugh added. "The NAMI bowling tournament, coordinated by Brian and sponsored by Windmoor, has become one of the most successful and fun events benefiting NAMI."

As a member of the NAMI Pinellas County board of directors, Talley will be a member of the fundraising committee and community education outreach activities.

NAMI Pinellas County is a grassroots 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing education, support and advocacy for persons with mental illness and their families. Members of the local chapter also serve on state and federal NAMI committees.
