National Deaf Academy Sponsors Deaf Golfer in Las Vegas Golf Classic

MOUNT DORA, Fla. – (Aug. 6, 2010) – National Deaf Academy, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) facility, recently sponsored employee Daniel Myatt to participate in the annual DeafNation Golf Classic in Las Vegas.

Myatt, a mental health technician at NDA, was one of 47 Deaf golfers from across the United States who participated in this year’s event. NDA sponsored his registration and participation in the event.

“When Dan approached me about playing in this year’s DeafNation tournament, I was delighted to support him,” said CEO Deana Goldstein. “The DeafNation event is a worthwhile cause and NDA was proud to support Dan’s participation.”

Myatt finished in 8th place, posting scores of 80 and 82 at Arroyo Golf Club and Siena Golf Club, respectively.

The DeafNation Golf Classic was part of the DeafNation World Conference and Expo (DNWE), which attracted more than 23,000 visitors from 73 countries. DNWE is the foremost touring trade show for, by and about Deaf people and provides exhibitions and entertainment through its 10-15 nationwide expos. Since its inception in 2003, the events have attracted more than 400,000 attendees.
