Bizerba cleaners maintain appliances in the food sector

At the IFFA 2010, the leading international trade fair for the meat industry, the technology provider Bizerba presents the cleaner for the food trade (hall 6, stand C60) from the 8th to the 13th of May.

Balingen, 31st March 2010 – Today, grocery stores must, in many respects, differentiate themselves in order to maintain their position in the market. Besides a fresh and large range of products, excellent guidance and outstanding service are certainly important. And an immaculate cleanliness – especially when it comes to fresh produce – completes a perfect presentation.
Technology manufacturer Bizerba not only supports the sales sector with a great number of modern appliances for the retail industry, but also with regard to cleanliness and hygiene by providing cleaning and maintenance products that have been optimally adapted for the needs of the machinery.

The LR label remover

“Everyone is aware of the problem caused by wrongly printed labels in the self-service department,” says Robert Keller, Director Business Services at Bizerba. “Quite often, these labels are simply attached to the respective scales.” With conventional cleaners, these labels are hard to remove and the scales look filthy already after a short time. The Bizerba LR label remover solves this problem, since the labels can be removed promptly and easily. Glue residues, in particular, can be removed with this cleaner twice as well as with conventional cleaners and delicate surfaces are maintained. The cleaner does not affect most of the plastic surfaces and leaves a pleasant orange smell after use.

The IPA thermal print head cleaner

Scales and label printers produce hundreds of labels and receipts each day. The thermal print heads get dirty if used permanently, with blurred or illegible labels as a result. Soon, long queues are forming at the cash registers, because the scanners cannot read the labels and the cashiers must enter the data manually. Regular cleaning of the thermal print heads with the Bizerba IPA thermal print head cleaner guarantees a continually, optimally function of the thermal print heads and thus ensure well legible labels. The integrated ventilation technique is very convenient when applying the cleaner. The IPA is a very thorough cleaner and leaves a perfectly dry and residue-free surface after cleaning. Due to its low consumption, the cleaner is highly effective and economic. The cleaner is provided in the form of a pen and is filled with 12 ml isopropyl alcohol, which is often used in disinfection agents. A further advantage: its ingredients are environmentally friendly and up to 99.9% biologically degradable. The cleaner can be used for most of the synthetic materials without causing problems.

The FC foam cleaner

The FC foam cleaner is suitable for cleaning all areas around the counter. Dirt, fat and stains are removed reliably from all hard surfaces like housings, panelling and plastic surfaces. Due to its new composition, the FC foam cleaner is also very well suited for glass surfaces. Thanks to the capillary effect, it removes the dirt and leaves a radiant, brilliant surface. The antistatic quality prevents static charging and reduces the new attraction of dust.

The H1 “Food Grade” service oil

Surfaces of slicing machines and other machinery that are used very often can be cleaned and maintained with the Bizerba H1 “Food Grade” service oil. “It is especially designed for the high demands in food processing and the pharmaceutical industry and complies with the world’s strictest food regulations NSF-H1,” explains Mr. Keller. Used as polish, it maintains the intensively used machines, removes finger prints and leaves a bright finish. Especially at the counter, customers pay attention to clean and neat machines, with which their food is being processed. If shafts or hinges squeak, the cleaner can also be used as a lubricant, thus guaranteeing a quite and smooth operation. At the same time, the oil prevents corrosion and provides protection against oxidation. “Low temperatures, in cool stores for instance, are also not a problem – our service oil can be used at any time in any conditions,” says Mr. Keller. The oil is odourless and therefore pleasant to use.

The Bizerba stainless steel cleaner

The Bizerba stainless steel cleaner is suitable for metal surfaces. Scales or counter – the cleaner removes finger prints and other traces of usage easily and promptly without leaving smeared surfaces. The antistatic agents contained in the spray bottle actively prevent new contamination and facilitate further cleaning. After usage, the cleaner leaves a brilliant polish on the metal surfaces. Since only premium ingredients are used, this special cleaner is perfectly suitable for applications in the food industry.
