Mysterious 7 - the NEW Patchwork Puzzles

Mysterious 7 - the NEW Patchwork Puzzles

Munich, September 20, 2018: After the great success of the first two "patchwork puzzles", the online portal Quilt around the World (www.quilt-around-the-world.com) organizes a new interactive project for all passionate quilters around the globe, this time under the motto "Mysterious 7".

The "Mysterious 7" patchwork puzzles invite you to embark on a creative adventure off the beaten paths of patchwork and quilting, to let your creativity run wild and start to design your own block motifs in a playful way. The online project runs until the end of July 2019 and is suitable for all quilters, whether beginner, occasional quilter or professional textile artist.

Every two weeks since August, the online portal publishes a new, entertaining puzzle block in the form of a riddle as creative inspiration for the design of patchwork blocks. The 25 underlying block motifs are based on a rather unusual 7x7 grid that lets you create exciting block patterns for fabulous quilts.

Two weeks later, the solution for the current puzzle is published including instructions for sewing the original motifs as 14" or 35cm blocks with templates for printing.

Participation is free. You can join at any time. All you need is internet access with PDF viewer.

The puzzle blocks as well as the solutions with sewing instructions are published in PDF format and can be downloaded without registration at: http://www.quilt-around-the-world.com/en/content/patchwork-puzzle-iii-mysterious-7.

Photos of submitted sketches and finished textile blocks along with comments of the participants are published in the Mysterious 7 Block Gallery on the Quilt around the World website.

All participants who design their blocks using the patchwork design software Electric Quilt and submit them digitally will receive an EQ8 project file with ALL block patterns at the end of the project. This special offer is brought to you in co-operation with Quilthouse Purgstall (www.quilthouse.at) from Austria.
