Interfaces of all kind are gaining importance. This is the case not just for Software, with the oft-mentioned APIs, but also for devices.
The development of the Internet of Things and industry 4.0 further increase the demand for standardized interfaces to connect and be readable for third parties. USB is a highly versatile interface for this. The new stanrdard Type C expands the already considerable possibilities with many new funcionalities.
For this reason, Iceseminars has added this topic to their program.

The USB Type-C™ Training – a day full of Input from practice for the practice

The training is subdivided in four large thematic blocks. In the first block, USB Type-C™ is introduced. Here, the fundamentals and in particular the improvements over the previous standard which can be harnessed by development engineers, are covered. The second section treats the USB Power Delivery. In the third part, the USB-IF Compliance Program is covered, where the focus lies on USB Type-C™.
a. USB-IF Certification process
b. USB-IF Certification procedure
c. USB-IF Certification testing for USB Type-C™
The fourth and last section deals with the requirements for USB Type-C™ test instruments.A handout with the training topics will be provided.
