Talismatic: Finding vacancies after graduating is a walk in the park for many. But is getting the job as easy? The first step after finding a vacancy is creating a resume. And with only one shot at impressing potential employers, job trends are the only way to making a perfect resume. Here are some factors included in the trend:

Being Creative with the Resume
A standard resume, while the norm, gives the recruiter yet another application to see with the same format being used, the same details mentioned, and in the same flow. This hardly manages to create an impression in their minds. And as they say, first impressions can certainly be the last if a candidate does the right thing or, perhaps, the wrong. It is, therefore, recommended that they give it their all in the first go. Creativity is one way candidates can overcome the monotony. Allow candidates to be as creative as they can with their resume, especially if that is a part of your their description.

Keeping it Practical
While candidates may be their creative best, recruiters look for practicality too. The trend of video resumes, while appreciated by some, managed to be a huge letdown for many who either did not have the right application to go through the video or did not have the time to set things up to view resumes that may not be worth the while. Practicality with creativity is the perfect combination when one is creating a resume that goes with the current job market trends.

Keeping the Cream on the Top
With going though innumerable resumes and application all throughout the day, we know one thing for sure – recruiters are busier than one can imagine. So, if candidates expect the HR personnel to go through an entire resume to get to the parts that are important, they need to think again. Keeping all of the best things that need to be highlighted to potential employers at the top is recommended.

Thinking like a Bot
Job applications, these days, go through tools that filter them based on whether they are relevant or irrelevant. This is done with the help of certain keywords that are filled in to the tool to help screen these applications. Thinking like a bot is therefore a crucial part of creating a resume.

Mention success status, not responsibilities
When making a resume, we are often inclined to mention the responsibilities we handle. What recruiters need to know is all of the successes the candidate has seen in his or her previous jobs. Rather than mentioning what they are responsible for, it is wiser to mention all the things they achieved through their skills.

Don’t Cram It
There may be a number of things that the candidate would wish to add to their resume. However, cramming it with a lot of details that may not be needed is bound to put the recruiter off. The key is to add concise and crisp statements or points that are truly relevant to your experience and job description.

Taking a look at the job trends in USA is certain to help students and experienced candidates create the perfect resume to impress potential employers and recruiters.
