Dortmund, 01 December 2009 - Fall Meeting of Million Dollar Consulting Club in St. Lucia.

For the annual fall meeting of the Million Dollar Consulting Club, an international network of successful, owner-operated consulting companies, the owners of the eight member companies from the USA, Australia, and Germany met on the Caribbean Island of St. Lucia. In addition to using the four-day meeting as a platform to present the development of their own companies and to discuss specific opportunities for the growth of their businesses and for their own personal development, the members focused on the issue of new, value-generating methods and fundamental factors of success for their clients to benefit from.

“Since our meeting in Naples, Florida, in fall 2008 had gone so well, the expectations for a successful conference were quite high,” says Dr. Guido Quelle, managing shareholder of Mandat Managementberatung GmbH from Dortmund (Germany) and the only European member of the group. While, according to Mr. Quelle, the network had been started as an experiment to find out whether the exchange of ideas in a facilitated meeting would generate more value for each member’s clients, this year the question whether or not a meeting should take place was no longer asked. “Despite the long journey involved, all members were present. We even managed to welcome yet another member firm,” Quelle explains. “The expectations of all participants were more than met.“

The focus of the meeting was on fine-tuning the members’ business models both for the benefit of their clients and for the methodical exchange of ideas that helps to address the needs of the clients even better. A substantial amount of time was dedicated to a look into the future. With each of the consulting companies represented at the meeting aiming at different target groups and markets, the participants were given a comprehensive picture of foreseeable trends and developments that allowed each of the consultants present to take something home for his own clients.

Altogether, the eight member companies have over 150,000 business contacts in more than 20 countries. “Knowing this we have decided to write a book on patterns of success which we will make available to our clients and interested individuals in each of the members’ countries. We have agreed on the topics, and the time schedule has also been established,” Quelle points out. The book will probably be published in the second quarter of 2010.

According to Quelle “the membership in this group provides great benefits both for our clients and for ourselves. This way, we can give our clients access to an international network, the advantages of which can normally be provided only by larger consulting corporations.” Next year, Quelle continues, Mandat was going to add further services to its portfolio, which will give clients access to this international network.
