Successful Sales Launch for List & Label 15

Constance, 11/16/2009 – With the release of version 15 German software house combit has introduced a new generation of the globally used software development component List & Label to the market. A look under the hood reveals that the new version offers two major features, among others. According to the company, the top features are a comprehensive and significantly faster data supply for .NET and the newly added drilldown reporting. These and other features have generated a strong demand and brought the manufacturer positive sales results. In comparison to last years October sales have increased by 7% according to combit.

List & Label project manager Jochen Bartlau nearly raves about the highlights of the most recent version. According to him the improved data supply for .NET means huge savings in time for the customer. "Until now, the data for data binding had to be loaded into a DataSet. The new version accesses databases directly." The now existing solution saves users the equivalent of 25 pages of code and hence a lot of time. The second top feature will make daily reporting easier for developers and users alike: Drilldown reporting is a user-friendly way of preparing hierarchical data. Even with very large and complex databases, end-users can now quickly access the information they are looking for and export it in different formats. This means no more waiting in front of “red traffic lights” but reporting at an incredible pace.

Among further innovations and improvements, List & Label 15 now includes a 64-bit version and supports Visual Studio 2010 Beta 2 and RAD Studio 2010. The 64-bit version and features specific to the new Microsoft operating system Windows 7 make the reporting component future-proof. In addition the PDF export has been extended with the PDF/A-1a standard, which serves as a base for revision-secure archiving. List & Label 15 also supports the new GS1 barcodes, which will be in use as a new standard worldwide from 2010.

Starting with version 15, customers with an Enterprise Edition receive a special gift from combit: This edition comes including all available Designer language kits. Enterprise developers can now make use of a free pool of languages, which so far had to be purchased separately. The Standard Edition of List & Label 15 is available from EURO 610 / US-$860, Subscription Editions Professional from EURO 1160 / US-$1635 and Enterprise from EURO 1760 / US-$2481 net (exchange rate from 11/09/2009). Subscription editions include upgrades to major versions, ServicePacks, feature updates and support during the validity of subscription.

With the combit List & Label component, developers can equip their own applications easily and quickly with efficient functions to create reports, statistics, forms, lists, and labels. Only a few lines of code are required to integrate the report generator into existing applications. List & Label is available in three editions, depending on requirements as Standard or in the Subscription Editions Professional or Enterprise editions. The Designer, which can be passed on to end users without having to pay additional license fees, is available in many languages. The development tool for extensive reporting functions as well as web reporting is available in German or English and can process almost all character sets. All three editions of List & Label can be integrated into a large number of programming languages.
