LeadingRE and RESPRO Team Up for Annual Conference

CHICAGO (November 11, 2009) — Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® and the Real Estate Services Providers Council, Inc. (RESPRO®) will join forces for their respective annual conferences in Las Vegas at Encore at the Wynn Hotel March 7-11, 2010. The gathering is expected to attract members of both organizations from across the U.S. and several countries abroad.

This venue represents a change in plans for LeadingRE, which had been scheduled to meet in Florida in April, in order to take advantage of special arrangements at the five-star Wynn Hotel and accommodate the larger meeting encompassing RESPRO members.

“RESPRO and LeadingRE share many of the same real estate brokerage firm members,” said LeadingRE President/CEO Pam O’Connor, “even though the participants may vary within each company for the two organizations. With RESPRO’s strong focus on regulatory issues and the greater travel efficiency offered by combining forces, it made sense for our two organizations to collaborate for this meeting.”

RESPRO’s conference will occur March 7-9, while LeadingRE’s begins on March 9 and runs through March 11, with the two conferences overlapping for a joint general session and Networking Night event. Assistant Secretary of Housing and FHA Commissioner David Stevens will address the joint session on March 9.

“Our association sees valuable synergy in meeting together,” added Sue Johnson, RESPRO’s CEO. “With so many real estate brokerage firms offering a full range of home services these days, it makes sense to integrate the interests of brokerage, mortgage, title and other services when offering educational and networking opportunities.”

LeadingRE’s annual conference, themed “Leading the Revolution” to reflect the game-changing initiatives being undertaken by the organization in this new era of real estate, is preceded by three additional programs on March 8 and 9: The Luxury Portfolio Top Associate Summit, the Sales Managers Leadership Symposium for top branch and regional managers, and LeadingRE MarTech: The Next Iteration for dedicated Marketing and IT Directors.

A robust program of keynote speakers, presentations and panels promises to make both conferences the business highlight of the year for those attending.

With positive housing market signs supported by the extension of the housing tax credit, and strong interest in taking advantage of business opportunities that currently exist, both RESPRO and LeadingRE expect an excellent turn-out for the Las Vegas event.
