bauma 2007: The largest bauma ever
more than 530.000 sqm of inside and outside spaceThe demand for space is considerably higher than at bauma 2004.
At bauma on 23 - 29 April 2007 in Munich, even more international companies for construction, building materials and mining are expected to exhibit their current product innovations as well as the latest trends in technologies and services in the exhibition area. The halls are already fully booked, the demand for the open air space is enormous and the waiting list is still long. Due to so much interest the bauma exhibition space increased by 30.000 sqm to over 530.000 sqm compared to 2004. Therefore it is expected that bauma 2007 will surpasses the last bauma by far.
The Chinese exhibitors want to present themselves nearly five times as large as at the last edition of bauma. India asked for more than four times more space, Japan even five times more. Exhibitors from Austria, Luxemburg, Turkey, Korea and Greece doubled their demand. Companies from countries like Bulgaria and Singapore want to exhibit at bauma 2007 for the first time.
This shows that bauma is the most important trade fair for construction machinery and equipment, building materials machinery and mining technology in the world. It underlines its leading position as meeting place for all key player.
About bauma
In the halls and the open-air exhibition grounds of the New Munich Trade Fair Centre, the latest products of the international machinery industry for construction, building materials and mining will be presented on 23 - 29 April 2007. Messe München GmbH is making over 500,000 square metres of exhibition area available for this world-leading event. In the year 2004, a total of 2,801 exhibitors from 47 countries made use of bauma as a platform for presentation and marketing, 50 percent of them from other countries than Germany. Over 416,000 visitors from Germany and abroad came to Munich for bauma 2004, with 29 per cent of these from abroad. The exhibiting companies confirm the importance of bauma as the international meeting point for the sector. During bauma 2004, 93 per cent of exhibitors welcomed international visitors to their stands.
