A marketer is someone that engages in marketing – the process of advertising a company’s products and services to a target audience and attempts to convince those audience members to buy. As previously mentioned, for the purposes of this definition we are going to go with the internet marketer, since that is how the term “marketer” is mostly used today. So, how do you become an internet marketer? Most people get introduced to this career because they want to make money online. There are a lot of resources out there for someone who wants to learn how to do internet marketing and then promote products and services online.
But not everyone involved in internet marketing is self-taught. In fact, there are many colleges and universities now that teach internet marketing as a matter of course. This is especially true in some of the various computer applied science fields, as well as part of getting a marketing degree. While the standards are still taught, there has been a major emphasis placed on internet marketing as part of a public relations or marketing degree. That’s because internet marketing makes up a huge percentage of any advertising executive or marketing professional’s job.
