In 2009, China's VC market declined both in number of deals as well as in deal size: 428 disclosed deals totalled USD 3.767 billion, down 20.0% and 24.8% respectively, compared with the previous year, largely in line with Nexus Ventures previous forecasts.

Nexus Ventures Inc. help fund bioethanol plant
Nexus Ventures Inc has helped funded a bioethanol plant located in Aglona, country of Latvia. The plant is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2011 and have a maximum capacity of 150,000 cubic meters of bioethanol per annum. In addition, the project is designed with a potential extension option which will allow the plant to double production capacity to 300,000 cbm pa.
