China Forestry Bureau adjusts Lihua Village's 'Feng Shui' through 'ICEAlity',
February 13, 2007 - The forestry bureau of Fumin county, in China's southwest Yunnan province, paid about 470,000 yuan (US$60,600) for a team of seven painters to spend 45 days daubing the disused quarry at Lihua village in green paint, the Beijing News said.
"When they first started, we thought they were applying a pesticide, and then would plant some trees," the paper quoted a Lihua resident as saying.

German Goethe Institut launches Artist-in-Residence program
Environmental Artist David Jakupca, Founder and Director of the The International Center for Environmental Arts (ICEA) in Cleveland, Ohio is announcing that starting in September, 2005, the Goethe Institut will hold its first Artist-in-Residence program, enabling young artists and curators from Germany to work overseas for a period of four to six weeks.
