Measurement solutions for heating technology
Klingenberg, December 2014.
WIKA has published a new brochure on the theme of heating technology. It offers customers and other interested parties a compact overview of measurement solutions (pressure, temperature, level) for all sectors of this market segment.
The focus is on individual applications, from solar thermal systems to combined heat and power plants. Graphic illustrations indicate the points where the measurement technology is used, which the reader can match to…
New S-20 pressure transmitter is UL listed
Success for the new S-20 pressure transmitter from WIKA: After being tested by the American certification company Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) the instrument, which is available in numerous variants, is listed to applicable UL standards and requirements by UL.
The globally accepted UL listing facilitates the use of the S-20 in all major markets. WIKA has developed the new measuring instrument for general industrial applications. It is available with all the…
A-10 pressure transmitter now available with GL approval
Another seal of approval for WIKA's A-10 pressure transmitter: Germanischer Lloyd has awarded the measuring instrument with
GL approval.
The certificate has been issued for “Environmental Category D, H, EMC1”. The now approved A-10 will be used primarily in conventional applications on-board ships (engines and automation technology). It is, however, also suitable for other offshore applications, such as in wind farms and on oil rigs.
The pressure transmitter has been designed for a…
Through the serial number direct to the product data
WIKA has set up a new internet service for users of both model A-10 and model S-20 pressure transmitters: All individual product data are now available on the microsite https://portal.wika.com/serial/.
Customers can retrieve the information either by entering the serial number, or – just recently – a QR code on the included test report. This way, they get a direct access to all item details, links to the data sheet and…
WIKA calibration laboratories now also accredited for electrical measurement par …
Klingenberg, April 2014.
WIKA extends its manufacturer-independent calibration service. The German National Accreditation Body (German abbreviation: DAkkS) has now certified that the company's test laboratories have the competence to also calibrate electrical measurement parameters in accordance with DIN ISO/IEC 17025:2005.
From now on, WIKA has the right to issue DKD/DAkkS certificates for DC voltage (0 V to 100 V), direct current (0 mA to 100 mA) and DC resistance (0 Ω to…
Universal process transmitter: Robust and highly accurate
Klingenberg, April 2014.
With the UPT-2X, WIKA has brought a new process transmitter to market. It is a highly accurate all-purpose instrument with a robust design and an on-site display.
The compact plastic housing of the UPT-2X, depending on requirements, is fitted with a measuring sensor between 0 ... 400 mbar and 0 ... 1,000 bar. The measuring ranges are freely scaleable, with a maximum recommended turndown of 20:1. The transmitter is…
Hydrostatic level measurement: New information platform on the Internet
Klingenberg, March 2014.
Comprehensive information on “hydrostatic level measurement” in the water and wastewater industry has now been published by WIKA on www.wika.com/hydrostatic-level.
The platform, in English, is aimed at experts and novices alike. Under the heading of “Knowledge”, besides the topical introduction - “10-step guideline on hydrostatic level measurement” - and various application descriptions, users also get numerous practical tips. In the “Products” area, WIKA pressure sensors and submersible pressure transmitters…
Differential pressure gauges: DELTA-line, now even more robust
A new generation of the WIKA “DELTA-line” product family for differential pressure measurement is now available. A newly designed measuring cell makes the four instruments in the range even more robust and thus they will last even longer.
The measuring instruments, which also feature a shatter-proof window, are corrosion-resistant and have the best possible degree of protection against external mechanical influences. As a result of their unchanged dimensions and connections, customers…
New temperature sensors in miniature design
Klingenberg, January 2014.
They are so small that you hardly notice them: With their minimal design, the new temperature sensors from WIKA fit in even the tightest of spaces. The model TF40 was developed specifically for use in ventilation ducts; the model TF41 for the measurement of outside temperatures.
The measuring elements of both sensors are inserted into a UV-resistant plastic housing that measures just 44(l) x 32(w) x 30(h) mm. The…
Tubeskin temperature measurements: New WIKA brochure
Wika presents its portfolio within the area of tubeskin temperature measurement in a new brochure. The document is aimed primarily at companies in the process and petrochemical industries.
Since the integration of Gayesco (USA) the WIKA Group has taken the leading position in this segment of electrical temperature measurement: They deliver more than 120,000 tubeskin sensors worldwide. In addition to individual sensor designs and their applications, the brochure focuses on the…
SF6 gas: New transmitters for proactive plant monitoring
Two new transmitters from WIKA provide the foundation for continuous, digital monitoring of the quenching and insulating gas sulphur hexafluoride (SF6). The models GDT-20 and GDHT-20, with their MODBUS® signal, give a clear indication of the SF6 condition of gas-insulated equipment and thus enable maintenance to be planned solely on demand.
Based on precise pressure and temperature measurement, the two new transmitters constantly calculate the density of the SF6. Thus, even…
