Anca Verma honored with the prestigious ‘Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2018’ Award
New Delhi ~ 30th March 2018Anca Verma, the wife of billionaire industrialist Abhishek Verma, recently was awarded the illustrious ‘Women Entrepreneur of the Year 2018’ Award at an event held in New Delhi.
The 7th Asiad Literature Festival was organized to celebrate women’s achievements on the International Women’s Day, and promoting ‘I AM KHADI from Local to Global’ as well as ‘UdaanSkill’, a measure aimed at women empowerment.
Organized on March 17, 2018 at the India International Centre in New Delhi, the event witnessed the presence of several eminent personalities like Pinky Anand (Additional Solicitor General of India at the Supreme Court of India), Sumaira Khan (Zee Hindustan), Vineeta Yadav (News Nation), Neetu Jain (Aaj Tak) and many more. Udit Raj (MP, North-West Delhi constituency) graced the Literature Festival, as the Chief Guest.
Attended by several foreign ambassadors, and corporates including IIFT, Raymonds, Olialia, SOULACE, ALPS, MDI, CII, LUXOR, KEI-CABLES, KGS, etc,, the fest was based on ‘Gandhi's Philosophy on Women Empowerment and promoting KHADI globally’, and constituted of various sessions.
Anca Verma, the Chairperson of Olialia World, a European FMCG brand, was presented with the ‘Women Entrepreneur of the Year 2018’ Award by Pinky Anand for her unparalleled contribution towards India’s economic as well as industrial development.
Prior to heading Olialia, Anca Verma has also served as a member of the Board of Directors at SIG SAUER India, a global multinational arms manufacturer headquartered in USA.
Along with her husband, billionaire Abhishek Verma, Anca recently launched a wide range of FMCG products, such as cigarettes, aerated drinks, dairy products, etc., under their brand Olialia.
Forbes Europe has previously listed Anca Verma as the Richest Romanian in the World and estimated her net worth at $ 3 billion. She has been on several talk shows and debates in Romania on Women Empowerment, and has received awards from international humanitarian organizations about her involvement towards the benefit of the underprivileged of the society.
Laying great emphasis on contributing for the economy with her hard work, Anca Verma, with husband Abhishek Verma, has a lot of projects in her kitty, and is currently focusing on the Maldives International Airport project, including Maldives Island Resorts and Casino Mauritius.
