How does design protection work?
When a design is disclosed on DesignProtection.com, the designer receives a document of disclosure per email. With this document he/her can proof at anytime, when, where and in what shape and dimension the design was disclosed to the public. This constitutes the precondition of the design right called “unregistered community design”. The community design right protects designs against copying in every country of the European Union, including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK and 22 more.
German based PriorMart AG is now providing a new design protection service optimized for this design right. And since the unregistered community design is a free right, disclosure on this web-service is free as well. Every designer from every country can now get a design right, that is legally founded in the European Union. All it takes is a few minutes.
Designers can protect themselves against plagiarists by protecting their work. Design buyers do also benefit from design protection, it makes their product more valuable. Protecting designs also helps other designers to avoid double works. Since disclosed designs are searchable, designers can check what's already disclosed before creating new designs.
